Lit Galaxy is all-ages by design. The Family Zone is a half-acre of dedicated daytime programming for crews bringing kids — and the wider grounds stay family-safe until 8 PM.
Kid-Built Art Lab
Daily · 10 AM — 5 PMDrop-in maker space with light-up wearables, glow paints, and an evening parade where every kid's project lights up the path.
Family Picnic Lawn
Open all dayShaded lawn beside the Wellness Zone. Family-only seating, snack tables, lost-child meeting point, low-volume speakers.
Low-Volume Late Show
Nightly · 8 PMA capped-decibel evening light show at 8 PM each night, designed for kids 5+. Earplugs and earmuffs available free at the gate.
Storytime Under the Trees
Daily · 11 AM & 2 PMDaily storytime with local authors and the festival production team — under the canopy, on cushions, around the fire ring.
Family safety + comfort
- Lost-child meeting point at every Info Point — staffed 9 AM to midnight
- Stroller-friendly hard-surface paths across all daytime zones
- ID wristbands available at the gate — write your phone number on the inside
- Free earplugs + kid-sized earmuffs at the Family Picnic Lawn and Info Points
